Revolution Makeup Revolution London Iconic 3 Palette Review | Imogen

Hello, over the past couple of months I have heard so many great reviews about the Revolution Makeup Revolution London Iconic 3 Palette and because it only retails at £4 I thought I would invest in it, and I am so glad I did.

This palette contains12 beautiful shades;which range from creams, pinks, golds and dark browns-purples. The formula of the eye shadows differ from cream based eye shadows, glitters and mattes. Due to this palette offering so many shades you can create a different look for every occasion. You could go very natural and use the creams and pinks or you could go quite smokey with the browns and purples and create a dramatic look. Also because the browns are matte, they would be perfect to use on the brows as they don't have  any excess shimmer or glitter. The shades are very highly pigmented and great quality for the price of this product.

This palette comes with a double ended applicator which is great if you are just starting out with makeup and don't own any brushes yet. Although, quite a lot of people think this palette is the perfect size, I slightly disagree, I think this palette could be a little bit smaller, maybe the same size as the MUA eye shadow palettes. Because it seems quite big to fit in a makeup bag. However, I I have heard this palette is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette which  is massive and definitely wouldn't fit in an averagely sized makeup bag. The Naked 3 palette retails at £38.00 and you get 12 shades in which look exactly the same, obviously they must be better pigmented or have a longer lasting power because why else would it be priced so high, for an eye shadow palette. So if you are planning on buying the Urban Decay Naked 3, then I would try out this product first and you might just save your self £38.00.

Hair Care | Reduce Frizz | Imogen

Hello, so I have decided to start a hair series here on my blog, this will able me to upload a lot more hair related posts. The post's which will be included in the "hair series" will be clearly stated in the title of the post, it will start with "Hair Care" and then whatever subject I will be writing about. I decided to kick the series off with ways of reducing frizz. I thought this post was very suitable, especially now its summer and it's warmer. Recently, I have been trying different methods to reduce frizzy hair and so far these work. Some of these are more obvious than others like using a Frizz-Ease Serum. And others are very simple things which everybody can change in their "after shower routine" Firstly, I'm going to write about products which you can buy and then I am going to explain some ways/methods I do to reduce frizz, when I get out of the shower.
Products:
 Frizz-Ease Serum / Oil
This is a very obvious product to me, and you're better off investing in a bottle of this, before buying shampoos or hair masks. Just because this product is all about reducing the frizz instead of making your hair feeling really soft and looking shiny. The description for Frizz-Ease serums describes exactly what the product is going to do  for example: 'Eliminates Frizz'

Hair Mask
Another good way to battle frizz is to use a hair mask every so often.Topping the fact that a hair mask reduces frizz, your hair also feels so soft afterwards.

Frizz Free Shampoo And Conditioner
If, you've already tried using a serum and hair masks and they have not worked for you, then another alternative is to invest in a shampoo and conditioner which specify in 'Frizz Free'
I searched for some shampoos and conditioners on the internet which I could recommend to you as I don't own any myself which are just based on reducing frizz. I found:
Macadamia Natural Oil Ultra Rich Moisture Shampoo
(An ultra-rich shampoo that provides high levels of hydration to the hair and scamp. Smooths hair, reduces frizz and leaves hair stronger and feeling softer.)
Read more about it here

 Methods:
"Towel" Dry Your Hair With a T-Shirt
When your hair is wet, instead of drying it with a towel use a t-shirt. I'm guessing this works because a t-shirt is a smooth and softer fabric than a towel.
Squeeze Not Rough
Also instead of rough drying your hair with a towel/t-shirt, squeeze it to drain all of the excess water out.
Combing It With A Comb;Not A Brush
When your hair is towel dried, comb it with a comb instead of a brush. This also seems very obvious, because I see loads of people telling people to do this. However I never find myself doing it, but it's so easier and kinder to your hair.
Blow- Dry Your Hair
I always used to leave my hair to dry naturally because 1) It's better for your hair, to reduce the amount of heat you use on it and 2) Honestly, I am lazy, and I hate drying my hair. However when ever I go to sleep with slightly damp hair, I wake up with the most frizziest and wavy hair ever. So if you want no-frizz and straight hair, then it's worth the time to dry it.
Settings Of Your Blow-Dryer
I find blow-drying my hair a lot easier when I have the speed on the middle option so my hair doesn't fly everywhere, this means I can dry it straight down with-out creating a lot of  frizz. Obviously though every hair-dryer is different, so this category is optional to your choice.
Straightening It
When I straighten my hair, it isn't frizzy at all;even in the morning

I hope you try out some of these methods and I hope they work for you.

Love,

June & July Favourites | Imogen

Hello, this is a very different kind of post for me to be uploading, but I decided to do something a little bit different and upload a monthly favourites. I'm going to put this out now, I will not be uploading one of these every month, just because I don't really swap through items each month. But recently, I have seem to be loving, different things. The items I've been loving are stretched out over June and July. So I'm going to categorize all of the products I've been loving so lets start off with Body.

 Body:
Soap And Glory, Sugar Crush Body Scrub
I have been loving the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub. I'm not really a big fan of the smell of this product, but I love the way it makes my legs feel after using this. This product is targeted for people with really dry/dead skin, although I don't have dry skin, I still like to use this product because it makes my legs and arms feel so smooth/soft.

Hair:
Loreal, Elvive Nutri -Gloss Luminiser High Shine Shampoo and Conditioner
If you have read my Pamper Evening Routine post, you will know I am constantly switching my Shampoo and Conditioner. However, recently my mum bought the Loreal, Elvive Nutri -Gloss Luminiser High Shine Shampoo and Conditioner and I love it so much. I love the packaging as well, if you follow me on Instagram, then you will know I have already took a photo of this .Because why not? I love the smell of this product and how shiny my hair as been. However I haven't used the conditioner as much, because I've tried cutting down how many times I use conditioner because I constantly feel like my hair looks greasy although it doesn't,Its just shiny. And Conditioner adds shine to your hair. This product is quite pricey so we only buy it if its on offer.Because I think it ranges at around £3 normally.

Hair Styles:
Curly
In June, I loved to wear my hair curly for school, because it takes me around 30  minutes to curl it, but it looks so elegant.

 Scents:
Avon Luck La Vie
I can't explain the scent of this but all you need to know is that is smells so nice and I've been wearing it  everyday. It's £10 from Avon which I think is a very suitable price for a perfume. And it comes in one of the cutest bottle ever.

Fashion:
Kimono's
Recently, all my outfits have involved a kimono. Because they're so simple to wear but spice every outfit up and make it seem so much more put together.

Primark Home-ware:
At the moment,I am loving Primark's Home-ware range, It's so colourful and bright and definitely my style. Especially VelvetGhost's new range with Primark,It's just too pretty. I have bought 2 new cushions from Primark, which definitely adds colour to my room and makes it look so much more pretty and summery.

Apps:
Pinterest
I have been pinning my life away through Pinterest recently, just by searching "Summer". I love Pinterest, because of the huge variety of photos you can search through from "Home-ware to Summer to Food". And all the inspiration you get, for you Instagram,YouTube,Blog,Dream House and your wedding day and much more.

Music:
Shut Up And Dance ~ Walk The Moon
James Blunt's Album

Food:
Homemade Cheesecake( which I might do a recipe on, because it is to die for)
 Homemade Milkshakes

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading it.
